Hayes Family Wine 'Regional Series' Grenache Shiraz Mataro Barossa Valley

The Sam’s Grenache was sourced from Ian Becker’s Koonunga Vineyard in the Northern reaches of the Barossa Valley, was a truly wonderful vintage. It has produced classic Barossa wines with rich, spicy red fruits and supportive tannins at slightly higher alcohols then the most recent vintages..

After a long ferment, the wines were matured in older oak for 9 months prior to being blended and bottled in late December 2019.

The wine is classic Barossa Grenache. A beautiful garnet tinged with purple, pretty violets and field flowers on the nose. Mouth filling flavours of darker fruits, spice and wonderful length with lingering textural tannins. A beautiful wine to be enjoyed now and in the medium term.
