Chalice Bridge 'The Estate' Sauvignon Blanc Margaret River
Technical & Tasting Notes
VINTAGE
Saw abundant winter and spring rainfall, but little or no rain from November until mid-March resulting in good flavour concentration.
VITICULTURE / WINE MAKING NOTES
Harvested in the cool of night, the fruit was picked at 12 Baume with the fruit reaching the winery at 13 degrees. Crushed, pressed and cold settled with care to preserve the fresh, herbaceous characters. A cool fermentation in stainless steel vats encouraged the development and preservation of the aromatics.
TASTING NOTES
Lovely vibrant and intense aromas of nettles and gooseberries with cut grass to finish. The palate has powerful and intense fruit flavours of passionfruit, guava and citrus combined with lovely balanced acidity. Bright, fresh, zesty and vibrant, this southern Margaret River sauvignon blanc has good mid palate fruit weight and lovely length. A well balanced wine with great intensity and depth of flavours.
