Paradigm Hill 'L’ami sage ' Pinot Noir Mornington Peninsula
Pinot Noir wines; L’ami sage , Les Cinq and Adesso 2020
The season made up for the challenges of the previous season; perfect conditions prevailed throughout the ripening season yielding pristine fruit and this time, a healthy sized crop as well. To our delight, the finished wines developed to a more approachable balanced state sooner than usual and we decided to bottle at 14 months rather than the usual 18 months after harvest.
The wines from this vintage present as harmonious, enticing and quality expressions of their personalities. We expect they will be a source of great delight for many, many years to come.
Showcasing the terroir for our single vineyard wines. The wines show hallmark elegance along with intensity of fine savoury earthy flavours. There’s a perfume of roses and layers of spice as part of the complex character. L’ami sage has intense, enticing darker red fruit aromas followed by the expected savoury, fleshy and earthy character of this wine.
Adesso: This is just the 2nd release of the wine. It was left in barrel to evolve and mature without any preservative being added for 10 months. The wine’s uninterrupted journey has taken it to a unique location. A more assertive tannin structure flirts with a more complex, intense and brooding personality. This is a distinctly more powerful pinot noir; quite the contrast to the more elegant and pretty Pinot Noir
Whilst each of these wines are delicious to enjoy now, we believe cellaring for 15 + years will delight the patient collector.
